SGV Attorneys consists of Fatima Salijee (Managing Partner), George van der Merwe (Partner) and Clive Govender (Partner).

Fatima founded SGV Attorneys in 2005 and drives for excellence as an important aspect of professionalism and quality in the Firm. She is currently busy completing a Masters degree in Corporate law and has had vast success in her role as a prominent attorney providing a range of services in both the public and private spheres.
Fatima has a B.Comm, LLB (University of the Witwatersrand), Higher Certificate in Business Rescue (cum laude) and is an accredited assessor and moderator.
George van der Merwe
Areas of expertise: All areas of Employment Law as well as Pension Law and litigation.
George was a founding member of SGV Attorneys in 2005. He is a well-respected and recognised attorney in the fields of Employment and Pension law. George boasts both BLC and LLB degrees as well as a Masters degree in Law and also a certificate in Pension Law (Wits).
George has acted as a Judge in the Labour Court and is a qualified mediator and arbitrator and holds a certificate in Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (cum laude). George has successfully completed various courses and is a regular speaker on Employment Law seminars and is an accredited assessor and moderator.
Areas of expertise: All areas of Employment Law, as well as BBBEE.
Clive joined the firm in 2006. He spent his articles training under George. Clive is an excellent drafter and his expertise in the field of Black Economic Empowerment makes him an indispensable asset to the firm. Clive holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degrees and is an accredited assessor and moderator.
